Mobile Device Videoconferencing
Today’s Smartphone, Phablet and Tablet devices provide videoconferencing capabilities that enable users to share a face-to-face experience. Soon, 5g connectivity will be standard and the use of mobile videoconferencing will increase. Our goal is to use mobile videoconferencing to provide just-in-time learning assistance and to enable users to extend their social experience when learning with mobiles.
When to Seek Videoconferencing Assistance
There may be times when you need to ask a question about the lesson videos, learning content, or just need to talk to someone about challenges that come up when learning to play guitar. If and when this happens, use the following protocol to seek assistance or start and host a videoconference:
- Review the video lesson and formulate your question.
- Post your question in the learning community activity stream.
- Join an open Hangout and ask your question.
- Request a one-on-one videoconference with an authorized instructor.
If you need assistance after reviewing the lessons, try to seek answers from the community by posting your question. Sometimes you might need a quick answer. If so, check to see if a community member or instructor is available in the Google Hangout or the Hangout On Air Live. You will usually find someone available to assist you. If you need one-on-one help, request a videoconference and chat directly with a qualified teacher.
Assignments:
- Review this lesson.
- Join an open Hangout and introduce yourself.
- Request a videoconference to test your set-up.
