This is the Professional Learning Network Module for GitShed Guitar Instructors. The following “Mind Map” outlines topics of interest and sub-topics.
This graphic representation shows the connections that have been established for instructors in the GitShed Guitar Learning Community. There are four areas of focus:
- Course Management System (CMS)
- Lessons
- Social Networking Tools
- Mobile Device Technology & Tools
CMS
The Course Management System is the main portal of the learning environment. Students, instructors and site management use it for lessons and learning resources.
Lessons
Lessons are part of the CMS, and are featured in the PLN because of their relationship to Instructional Design for Mobile Learning.
Social Networking Tools
Community of Practice (CoP) learning theory is being applied in the use of a Facebook GitShed Page and a Google+ GitShed Page. Twitter, Pintrest, YouTube and other social media tools are being used to support the GitShed Social Pages.
Mobile Device Technology & Tools
The devices and technology tools related to creating instructional content and supporting learning are represented in this sector of the PLN. Instructors are encouraged to contribute suggestions for additional tools.
