I want to post my comments regarding the lesson. Overall, the videos and learning videos were well suited for beginners. I am a different kind of learner. I do not read music. I can tune my guitar to match the sound of the song (mostly 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music) and able to play along. I learned to sing in a choir, both church and school Glee…Read more

String names, Fingers, D and G Chords, all in under two minutes! Nice work Macplyr!!! š

I am unfamiliar with G tuning. I’d like to see that. I have heard of Drop D tuning for bass (I do not really use it though).

Hi Lamar, the tuning is D G D G B D. The sound this makes will speak to you in ways you never thought could happen.

Hey. Just watched the videos for lesson 2. I downloaded the garage band, pro metronome and guitar tuna. They all seem to be adequate. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to use them yet. But the videos included in the lesson were quite informative. I have realized that this will take a lot more commitment on my part, which I’m hoping to give it…Read more

Find a mobile interface for your guitar and device.
I use “Tab & Chords HD by Ultimate Guitar.”
Download tuner, metronome and recording apps for your mobile device.
My tuner is a download from Google for Fender Guitars.
Create a post describing your mobile interface and app selections
My mobile interface and app selection was done by chance over…Read more -

Regarding Lesson 1.1.
I own three guitars. One classical and two acoustics. The classical is a standard nylon where I had the strings replaced over two years ago from Good guys off of Kapahulu. The acoustics are older where the one Fender model was given to me in exchange for work I did to help a former sailor out of a jam back in 1984 and the…Read more - Load More
I love the personal touch of your post. You have a gift that others would love to develop, I know I would. Your example of working on your music and sports at the same time reminds me of informal learning. Some call it a form of multitasking or learning through distractions. I do this when I’m practicing new chords while watching TV. I form the…Read more
